Colonel Morgan's Funeral Photos
Linda Morgan, the widow of Col. Robert Morgan, and his family extend
heartfelt thanks to the hundreds of people who sent prayers and messages
during Bob's hospital stay and cards and flowers after his death. They
especially thank the staff of Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, NC and
the pilots and crew of the B-52, B-17 & P-51 who did the fly overs at the
cemetary. The kindness and prayers from so many people created a circle of
support that helped all of us get through this unexpected tragedy.
Linda was deeply affected by her husband's death and apologizes for the
delay in saying thank you. She would like to share some of the photos from
Col. Morgan's graveside service for those who could not attend. His ashes
are buried in the Western North Carolina Veteran's Cemetery, Black Mt.,
NC, about 18 miles east of his hometown of Asheville. The ashes of his
beloved Old English Sheepdog, Daisy, are buried with him.
